How AI Uses Connectors
Automatic Context
When AI handles a ticket, it can:
- Identify relevant platforms (e.g., customer mentions order)
- Query connected platforms for data
- Include information in response
Action Execution
When appropriate, AI can:
- Determine an action is needed
- Check permissions and limits
- Execute or queue for approval
- Report results
Example Flow
- Customer: "I need a refund for order 12345"
- AI: Queries Shopify for order details
- AI: Checks refund policy in knowledge base
- AI: Order is eligible for refund
- AI: Initiates refund via Stripe
- AI: Responds with confirmation
Security & Permissions
Credential Security
- AES-256-GCM encryption at rest
- Never logged or exposed
- Scoped to minimum required permissions
Action Control
Control what AI can do:
- Read-only: AI can view but not modify
- Read-write: AI can take actions
- Specific actions: Enable/disable individual actions
Audit Logging
All connector usage is logged:
- What data was accessed
- What actions were taken
- Timestamp and context
Troubleshooting
Connection Failed
- Verify credentials are correct
- Check API key hasn't expired
- Ensure required permissions are granted
- Try reconnecting
Actions Not Working
- Verify the action is enabled
- Check action limits haven't been hit
- Confirm permissions allow the action
- Review error messages in activity log
Data Not Syncing
- Check connection is active
- Verify data exists in the source
- Review sync settings
- Try manual refresh
Rate Limits
Each platform has rate limits:
- Keva respects platform limits
- Actions are queued when limits hit
- You can set additional limits in Settings
